While speaking on Swadeshi, PM Modi urged the country’s traders to proudly display boards outside their shops stating, “Swadeshi Products Available Here.” He explained that this will ensure consumers receive correct information and contribute to the nation’s economic progress. He emphasized that promoting Swadeshi products is the responsibility of every citizen and trader, which will strengthen local industries and create new employment opportunities.

The Prime Minister further stated that Swadeshi should become a matter of national pride. Adopting it should not be limited to purchasing goods; promoting it with pride is the duty of every citizen. This approach will empower local industries, increase employment, and aid the country’s economic development.

PM Modi also appealed to every citizen to take a pledge during festivals to buy Swadeshi products. He said that this small step can play a significant role in the nation’s overall progress and that embracing it is the responsibility of every citizen.

PM Modi said that by implementing GST, the government has relieved citizens from the web of tolls and taxes. The entire country is celebrating the GST, as it has reduced household expenses and made everyday goods more affordable. Targeting the Congress government, the Prime Minister noted that during their rule, heavy taxes were imposed on essential items.

Giving an example, he said that shoes worth ₹500 used to cost ₹575 under the Congress government due to an extra ₹75 tax. However, with GST implemented by the BJP government, the tax burden has reduced, and the same shoes are now available for ₹525, directly benefiting the common people.

"The Congress left Rajasthan with deep wounds from exploitation, and our government is working to heal them. During Congress rule, Rajasthan became a hub for paper leaks, and perpetrators of crimes like rape were being protected. Illegal liquor trade thrived in Banswara, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh. When our government came, we started implementing major projects.

During Atal Ji’s government, a separate ministry was created for tribal affairs for the first time. Decades had passed before that, but no such ministry existed. Under Congress, no one could have imagined large-scale projects coming to tribal regions.”
