Jolly LLB 3 Opens to ₹12.5 Crore Despite Slow Start
Jolly LLB 3, starring Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar, has received positive reviews from critics, but its opening day box office numbers are slightly below expectations. The film earned ₹12.50 crore net in India on its opening day, according to trade tracker Sacnilk.
The film began with approximately 10 percent occupancy during morning shows. However, positive word-of-mouth gradually increased footfalls throughout the day, helping the film cross the double-digit mark.
The courtroom drama has outperformed Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, which opened at ₹10.20 crore earlier this year. However, it fell short of Jolly LLB 2, which collected ₹13 crore on its opening day in 2017.
Prior to its release, Jolly LLB 3 generated decent pre-sales, grossing ₹3.23 crore. Trade experts initially predicted an opening in the ₹11–12 crore range based on these early trends.
The film has garnered positive reviews from critics and created a buzz on social media, contributing to strong word-of-mouth. This positive reception is expected to drive further growth in the coming days.
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 3 is the third installment in the popular legal comedy franchise. Notably, this film unites both the ‘Jollies’ from the first two parts, bringing Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar together on screen.
The film also features returning actors Saurabh Shukla, Amrita Rao, and Huma Qureshi, and introduces Seema Biswas and Gajraj Rao to the cast.
Jolly LLB 3 continues the franchise’s tradition of blending humor with relevant social commentary, offering audiences an engaging and entertaining courtroom experience.
