
Delhi Police Solve Hit-and-Run Case, Accused Arrested
The Delhi Police have successfully solved a challenging hit-and-run case in Vasant Vihar, leading to the arrest of the accused and the recovery of the involved vehicle. The incident, which left the victim critically injured, was cracked after eight days of relentless investigation by the team at Police Station Vasant Vihar, South West District.
According to police reports, the incident unfolded in the early hours of September 15th. Mayank Jain, a hotel manager, was driving his Honda City car near the RTR Flyover in Vasant Vihar when a blue Maruti Baleno collided with his vehicle at approximately 2:00-3:00 AM.
The situation escalated when Jain exited his car to confront the other driver. The driver of the Baleno intentionally ran him over before fleeing the scene. The impact resulted in a broken front windshield of the Baleno.
Jain was immediately taken to RR Hospital in Dhaula Kuan for urgent medical attention. Authorities registered a case under FIR No. 221/25, U/S 281/125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Vasant Vihar police station, initiating a full-scale investigation.
